travel insurance?

making a trip home for xmas and want to get some travel insurance.... can anyone suggest one that won't make me pay an arm and a leg for coverage on a pre-existing condition??

This site lists many travel insurance companies and you can compare. Choose the one that meets your needs best with the premium that suits you.

Pre-existing condition for travel insurance is very different than health or life insurance. As long as you buy the policy within stated number of days of making payment or deposit for travel, pre-existing conditions are covered. The time window for buying the policy after making any travel payments varies by insurer so be sure to not miss that window or pre-existing will not be covered in the event of a claim due to your heart issues.

yikes, just took a look and for non-US residents that are travelling to the US there is one measly little insurance policy that does not include pre-existing conditions..... looks like I'll have to go through an Italian insurance company....

Try a google search for a site similar to insuremytrip.com that sells to EU countries. Surely there has to be something like it.
