just curious here....i see everyone talking about a tee before surgery and i never paid attention to it since my surgeon did not talk about doing one before surgery. he also did not think it was necessary to do the cath test thingy since my ct scan showed enough. but after my follow up with my cardio yesterday and being the big flirt that i am...lol, one of the cute assistants there gave me a copy of my surgery report...which by the way...holy crap on the detail stuff...lol but my question is this...is a intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography the same thing as the tee everyone talks about. since i was knocked out cold and in lala land, it appears that most of this stuff was done when i was out. and the operative report has a bunch of big medical mumbo jumbo words...so i am googling every other word...lol
