Kevin:
Congatulations on your recovery. You may experience some fatigue or tiredness from time to time for several months to come. When you do, just pamper yourself -- get extra sleep the next night.
I used Extra Strength Tylenol PM (usually 2 tablets) to make sure I slept well when I was very tired the first year. I still use it -- usually 1/2 to 1 tablet, though.
My surgery was 6/24/03; I went back half-time 7 weeks later. I worked 8 a.m.-noon, then went home for a short nap. I have a desk job, which doesn't sound strenuous, but I was exhausted the first couple of days back at work. Got used to it, then switched to full-time 4 weeks later and had to adjust to having no naps in the afternoon.
