On the flip side, I do feel that the less intervention the better as having to operate on the coronaries introduces other variables and areas for complications
it does, but then again so do redo surgeries.

I'm still not sure about how you can spare the root and do a bental though.
 
Dr. Robert Hagberg is the surgeon. He said it's not a Bentall. It's replacement of the ascending aorta, where I have the aneurysm, and the aortic valve. Will be placing an On-X valve, and not replacing the root. He was very confident/comfortable that this was the right approach, but I will ask him again about his rationale next time we speak.
