Al and I also had the shingles shots (Zostavax) early last fall. Medicare did not cover it, so we paid $165. each to our doctor's office.

Years back, my neighbor had shingles and she had an easy time of it. But, later my office mate got shingles and did not fare as well.

When we got the shot, some of the requirements were: 60 years or older, and must have had chicken pox in the past.

Cooker, we are hoping and hoping that your significan one has a very mild case and is back to her healthy self quickly.

I didn't meet the age requirement, but as many outbreaks as I've suffered, the PCP didn't hesitate about writing the prescription.
