Finally met with the surgeon today.
He seems to prefer Sorin and Medtronic valves.
He said that for himself he would go with a Tissue valve because he would not want
to deal with the regimen and issues associated with Coumadin.

He was estimating the life of tissue valves at 10 years but would expect closer to
20 years if a root replacement was done at the same time. Anyone heard anything like this?

I asked if I needed a root replacement. He said that from the tests so far (TCE, TEE, Angiogram) he could not tell.
His plan was to go into surgery and deal with it if it was a problem.

I said that I would like to know so he scheduled a CT scan.

Thanks for the support!
