Last weekend I was in California, and talked with someone from Akron OH. Gene's wife had quad CABG on 6/24/09 (my valve anniversary!). He said that her incision had healed extremely nicely -- he said it was barely noticeable. She was doing rehab and started back mowing the yard last month......
I'd say she's in her 60s.
So that's not bad.
Thought I'd mention it because it gives hope for others. Of course, valve jobs aren't pipe jobs.
Not sure where she had her OHS at. Although one person did inquire about Cleveland Clinic; I think I overheard that the surgeon trained there.
