I have been on warfarin now for 4 1/2 years - no issues - active lifestyle with running 100 km / mth on a treadmill. Fell great aside form 'old' legs.

Had a blip in INR test today - shot up to 5.2 after 4 days of very poor eating habits (minimal meals) - wife is worried and tried to stop me from running tonight, so I suggested some other physical activity (;-) but she is saying I should not do those things with an INR or 5.2........any help here?

I'm a lifer on warfarin because of a MAV which was implanted last Mar. I do not have extensive time in the program, but I'm very physically active. If it was me, I would continue being active but, be cautious about taking a spill.

Although I am not personally on anit-coags, I agree, running should be ok, it's anything that may precipitate from it! Maybe being a little extra careful?
