I know there isn't going to be to many people on here due to the holiday and all, but just have a question about a new symptom.
I was diagnosed with moderate periocarditis Tues. at my 8 week echo all to my surprise since I had no symptoms. I've been on Prednisone 2X a day since then, and I'm having a lot of "discomfort" on the right side of my chest starting above the breast line and going up to my collar bone. Kind of feels like a steel plate has been implanted there. Left side is great, heart rhythm is good, no fever. Not the classic pain under the sternum or with deep breathe. I've been really stressed/scared since I saw the Dr. and don't know whether I'm just having muscle tightness. Just couldn't find this as a symptom, and don't want to call the Dr. on a holiday. Certainly not painful enough for an ER visit, in fact it's not really painful at all, just pressure like. My husb. says that I'm constantly rubbing that side, and probably making it worse.
Thanks to anyone who's out there who might have an answer!
