Well - I survived and now have a temporary crown.
I was concerned about the shots but my dentist has a new tool called a wand and I didn't feel the shot at all. I told her to give me half the normal dose - Mind over Matter.
It was uncomfortable but really didn't hurt. My dentist seemed quite impressed and said I must have a high pain tolerance.
That is a joke because I'm the biggest wimp I know.
I may have chewed on that side or something over the weekend because it is still aching somewhat. I guess I'll give it a few days to settle from the TRAUMA (the tooth and me were traumatized)
LOL.

Regarding other posts about dental work - Remember, better safe than sorry. Take those 4 pills and be safe!!!
