To check my INR? I am too independant of a person (single) to wait for blood to be drawn, and most out-patient labs want to stick you for a full vial.

I am well aware of the new, prick-your-finger type meters. So how do I go about getting one of these little jewels? How much do they run, and how do procure one.

That way, I can tell the Dr. whats goin' on...;)

Welcome Steve,

You may get a better response by posting in the Anti-Coagulation Forum or the Home Testing Forum.

QAS is probably the leading supplier of Home Testing Meters, at least among our membership. They can provide you with information on how to approach your Doctor(s) and Insurance Company. Do a Search for QAS or look on the Home Page for contact information.
