New? Tubular aortic valve

While surfing the web I stumbled across a new? tubular aortic valve that they are testing in Canada. Apparently it has been for sale in Europe for a while but is not yet available in the US. It looks interesting, but is too novel for my upcoming surgery. See ATS Tubular Valve

Very cool: a completely new bio valve structure. And it uses pericardium, which has proven resistance to calcific deposits. I didn't see enough to know if they've got an actual anticalcification treatment associated with it.

I want to know more about this one, but it will have to wait until after work.
