I saw this on several news apps on my iPhone on Aug. 11.
Saw my 26YO nephew today & mentioned it to him. He just got his Ph.D. in computer engineering -- meaning, he was hooded and got the diploma today. He said research on same is going on at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he graduated from, and a lot of other research groups.
His wife defends her dissertation next month also in
computer science.
