I am due to a stress test on Wednesday so I thought I would listen to my heart with a stethoscope immediately after stopping exercise.
As the heart rate dropped I began to have a few missed heart beats. It was almost like the heart had stopped/paused..
I felt ok whilst this was happening so it probably does this most times I exercise. This is the first time I have monitored my heat whist exercising for 6 months. I can hear my heart at night and it always seems regular.
A year ago, after having a 24 hour holter monitor, I was told I do get the odd ectopic heart beat. Is this classed as an ectopic heart beat or do you think it requires a pace maker? After the 24 hour Holter monitor it was mentioned that a pace maker may be required but that was for the slow resting heart rate (about 40 bpm).

Thanks
Martin
