One of the things my cardio supports is continued aerobic exercise while I'm watching and waiting. . .

I've seen the MET unit used to quantify exercise levels for stress testing, but I am wondering if anyone here has info or links to info about what MET level is considered adequate exercise.

The treadmill I use at the gym indicates MET level, but I don't know if my numbers are good, bad or indifferent.

Any ideas how to find out? All I've found so far is in articles about exercise stress testing, not about exercise for health.

Thanks.

I don't think you can characterise a MET level as "good or bad" w/o considering physical condition of a patient or training objectives.

10+ is generally considered good/adequate for cardiovascular conditioning in a healthy adult. But 4 may be appropriate for someone who has limited heart function.
