hello everybody, how is everyone's holiday season going so far? It seems like we get busy busy busy after OHS. I found out some really good news. My PCM is sending me to a specialist to try to get me off the coumadin. Hopefully I can get off the penn VK, aspirin, and metoprolol too. I'm feeling good. I just moved my entire household with the help from one of my best friends. I work for the Lakewood School District as a substitute now. I enjoy it, I just wish I could go to work more often. ANyways, I thought I would post to let everyone know I am still here...have a great holiday season!

We've never met but I thought I would say hello since we both share a birthday today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We can't share a cake however, because mine needs way more candles than 29! 56 candles please! I always get a kick out of meeting people who share a birthday and have met a few. I currently work with a young woman who is 32 today, my dental hygienist's husband's birthday is today and I just met a nurse the other day whose son was born today.

I hope that you get the clearance from your doctor that you want and that all goes well for you.

Being a sub is quite a challenge! I taught middle school for 11 years from 1973 - 1984 so I remember what those poor folks had to endure somedays. Being one today must be more of a challenge. Good for you!

Joy, it is so nice to see you post again and know you are doing well. What a wonderful thing if you can get off coumadin. How many years have you been on Penn VK? I take it that your valvoplasty is still doing well and that too is great. If you can get off those meds enjoy the freedom but it is still a small price to pay to be alive and healthy. Have a very Merry Christmas!

Nice to hear how well you are. The babies must be half grown by now! At least, I bet you feel that way occasionally.
