New Year's Eve is my least favorite occasion. We usually go to bed early, but watch the Tournament of Roses the next morning.

I am going to maintain an optimistic outlook concerning the New Year and the events it will bring. I figure it has to be an easier year than the previous one!:p :p :p ;) ;)

Hi Yaps

You won't have to worry about us.....we NEVER go out for New Year's Eve....This year it will be linguini and clam sauce, a glass of wine, salad, and in bed early......we'll watch the ball safe and sound.

Hope ya'll have a wonderful New Year.....and better than wonderful, HEALTHY.

Blessings

Evelyn

I Want to wish everyone a Safe, Healthy, Happy New Year...

We all sure could use a better year this next one....and Cort, don't worry, I will be following you soon into the hospital (Kidney stone removal--AGAIN...) I hope you will be feeling better soon, and back up to your old road travels ASAP!!! Happy New Year, Y'All!! :D :D :D :D Harrybaby:D :D :D :D

Happy New Year to you all !!!

Happy New Year to you all !!!

Well let's hope and Pray that 2006 is going to be a lot better for us all !!!
If someone would have told me that by this time this year, Ernie would have had OHS, My sister-in-law would have died and my daughter had her op I would never have believed them! The really great thing was, though, that I got to meet all of you guys !!!
Wishing you all really Good Health and Happiness ( Some prosperity would also be good too ! )
Well I have become quite desperate with the firecrackers and my poor dogs,we have had to put up with them being set off since Guy Fawkes.
I spoke to the vet and he has prescribed a tranquiliser for my female Labrador Serena as well as a DAP pheromone plug-in atomiser to calm them down.Shaka the male isnt as bad as Serena.
Even though we keep them inside and put the radio on loud, Serena still gets beside herself and almost has epileptic seizures with the slightest sound of a firework.
I'll be glad when all the fireworks are all over with.
Anyway, we will be in 2006 well before you guys!! I think we are on average 15 hrs ahead of most of you all.
Take care if you are out partying, we will be at home with all the animals,
Dogs Cats Cockatiels Budgies Finches and Quails and lights on so that all the birds dont get scared and go off their nests !! (I hate fireworks !!!! )
Best Wishes to you all
Ernie Wendy & Fam.

Harry,

Thank you.... And, good luck to you with thoughts/prayers coming your way.

*sighs*

Sadly, being in the hospital (if it happens) will be setting the tone for 2006...as, according to the "company calendar year", some of the days this week will be "charged" as vacation days for 2006...which, of course, means less time for road trips :(.

My husband and I are staying home. We will have a bottle of Asti Spumante to toast in 2006. He will shoot his gun at midnight. We live in the country so all our neighbors will also shoot their guns at midnight. Its a 20 year tradition.

Ross,

Don't I know it!!!!! Heh...what a life that would be, eh?

I _have_ been looking into jobs that include travel ... but I'm either not qualified...or over qualified :(. Ah, well ... one of these days!

And, for those of you that may not have seen/read my "Time for a note" post in early December (roughly Dec 9/10), I will be having surgery to remove my gallbladder tomorrow (Friday) afternoon ... and, given my heart issues, they may have me stay in the hospital until Sunday (Jan 1).....

Hey Cort!

It's been awhile. And yes, missed that post of yours. Wishing you all the best and a very speedy recovery. If you need anything......give me a call!

Take care.

PS. You have time to recover before the next big "pool game"

*grins*

Hey darlin' ... thanks for the "warning" ;). He he he.

Hmm...if you missed that post, then you also missed that I mentioned that Gramps died on Dec 9 (morning hours) ... memorial service was Dec 17....

And, thank you ... definitely appreciate your well wishes! I may just give you a call after I get back home...!

If anyone's going out dancing, dance one for me. I miss those New Year's Eve bashes.

We'll watch TV til we get sleepy, and then go to bed. We will have the grands (two of them) with us so we might watch a movie that they will enjoy.

Be safe - get a DD - or call a tow. They do towing here for free if you are drunk and request the tow.

We have decided to go to the casino in Alabama in the morning for a few hours and come home before the craziness really gets started. Then it will be tv and Asti Spumante and bed right after midnight. I don't know how I got out of babysitting at least part of the grandkids. Daughter and her husband are going to something at the bowling alley and the kids are going to. Its a family New Years Eve Party. My son and his wife are in New Orleans with the other grandkids visiting friends that just got back in their home after Katrina.

P.S. If you live in a blue roof area, don't use any fireworks. We are being told that they are highly flammable! Besides, they are now old, making them much drier that when they were new.

Sending along my best wishes to all of you for a very Happy and Healthy 2006!:) :D

Cort: Hope all goes well with your gall bladder surgery today.

*nods*

Thank you, Susie!

And, I'm with Ann on this one ... sorta. I expect ya'll that are partying in any way, shape or form to party a bit extra for me ;).

Heh...the one New Year's that is over the weekend...and thus, I could travel (drive) a bit of a distance to see friends...I'm stuck in a hospital bed...lol. Irony rocks :).
