Thank you so much for remembering my birthday. My wife Linda and I are heading for New Jersey later this afternoon to attend a family reunion this weekend with my two sisters and their husbands and kids. I grew up in northern NJ, (Passaic County) and sure miss being able to go the ocean (Wildwood) during the summertime. In Nebraska we just have the outside hose and sprinkler.
I actually have two birthdays this month. Today is what we call the "official one" and on Monday the 15th I have what I like to call, my third birthday. I say I have an extra birthday because three years ago, on that date, my new aortic valve was implanted and has allowed me to celebrate twice.
Pleased to say all systems are working, INR is stable at 3.1 and making sure I get regular six month checkups. Next visit is in September. If nothing else I am sure helping the Dr's pay their greens fees.
Thanks again and have a piece of cake and ice cream (low cal) on me.
BTW the first Nebraska football game is on 3 September. Hopefully this year will be better than last.
