Ascending to descending aortic bypass graft, bypass surgery

Looking to see if anyone has had this surgery. Was born with a coarctation of the aorta and instead of fixing the restriction the doctors are recommending this repair. Already jad aortic valve repair.

Not very common so looking for someone who may have had this done.

Is there a reason why they didn't take care of this when they had your OHS for your aortic valve?

The valve was 16 years ago. The reason for this procedure is uncontrollable blood pressure.

Just curious if there is anyone else out there.

You can read about mine (or ask) but it was a replacement of the valve with a mechanical and a graft for an aneurysm.
