Aaron Boone returning to Majors

I just saw this on USAToday.com

Aaron Boone is returning to the majors 5 months after a valve repair and having part of his Aorta replaced.

I read/saw a few weeks ago that he probably would. Good for him, and a good role model for all the newbies/those in the waiting room.

Although, I must admit, things are a little different for him; being a professional athlere, one would hope that he is fit and drug-free going into this, that he is more in tune with his body than all of us more couch-potato beings. He also has a much better support team than any of us, these clubs have doctors, physios, massage therapists and all that on board, too, whose job it is to get these guys into tip-top shape as soon as possible. And, it is his job! He doesn't have to work somewhere for 8 hours a day and then try to find time to exercise ! But, all in all, a remarkable accomplishment.

Hooray, Aaron. You are an inspiration to all of us. Even this lifelong St. Louis Cardinals' fan is rooting for you, and I bet even a good many Boston Red Sox fans are, despite that clutch HR of yours for the Yankees a few years ago.
