Thanks for the update. Sounds like he is doing fine and we will be hearing about a home-coming before you know it! :)
 
It sounds like Doug is doing really well. He might have a few rough days ahead, but it sounds like he's over the worst of it.

So good to hear he is doing so well. It's not unusual for the pacer to be needed for a certain amount of time post-surgery. A few people end up having to have one permanently installed (and are thankful for them) but most seem to be able to wean off them.
 
Stopped by the Nebraska Heart hospital to visit with Doug this morning. He was sitting in his chair and looking great. Seemed to have a good bit of energy and they already had him walking around.

We talked about rehab and the need to walk, walk, walk as well as blowing in the blasted wind torture device. Was anybody ever able to get the ball to the top?

He has a great big heart pillow next to him and within easy reach.

He is most interested in getting back to his routine but advised him to take it slow and easy.
