6 month appt!

My mitral valve turns out to be very soft and it loosened the ring, which is now moderately leaking from my mitral valve repair surgery 6 months ago. 2 echos have confirmed that it's moderately leaking. My cardiologist thinks that I will need another surgery in the future....sigh. The pressure in my lungs has decreased and everything looks good otherwise. I am feeling good though....I have known women with worse problems after childbirth...heart transplants, still in heart failure, death, so if I need a valve fixed due to post-partum cardiomyopathy...I'm one of the lucky ones!

Although, my daughter better not ever ask me for a sibling!

Sorry for the issues you are having, but great outlook. This is exactly the type of news I worry about. My 6 month appt is coming soon...well, as soon as I schedule it. I'm not completely sure if I was supposed to go in 6 months after surgery or 6 months after my last appointment (which would be 8 months post op).
