    Cymbalta and warfarin

Wow Wow I don't know if it was the combo that caused it or not, but I did not do well on the Cymbalta at all. Insomnia really bad, extreme headache, and felt like I was in a fog. Got off of it ASAP. Just thought I'd throw my reaction out there in case anyone else has the same.

    Scar Pain

Thanks, I will give just about anything a try right now. Surely massaging won't hurt as bad as injections will. I go to a massage therapist for other issues, I'll ask her. Thanks for all the input.

Life Watch Heart Monitor for AF

Actually, it did not help with mine, although it has gotten better anyway. That's not to say it won't help you. Your doctor will hopefully know best on this one. Best of luck.

    i'm back!

Sounds good Sounds good Great to hear you are doing so good. Don't worry about the memory thing, I had it bad. When I got home I told my wife that I had not been bathed for the entire 9 days. She laughed because she was the one bathing me daily. You are doing great, it only gets better...

    Can I have a Guiness ???

Nope, never had an ulcer or anything. Great to know that I don't have to be so scared of everything. Been reading about the greens too, you guys are great. Adjust the dose not the diet, my coumadin clinic and I are going to have a talk.

    Can I have a Guiness ???

Okay, the hospital got me scared to death to have a beer now that I am on Warfarin. I never have been a big drinker, so it was not that big of a deal. But from what I am seeing on here is that an occassional drink is probably not going to affect my INR much at all. A Guiness would be great...

Life Watch Heart Monitor for AF

Can be aggravating Can be aggravating I had to wear that monitor for 21 days as well. I just kept the cell phone on the night stand next to the bed, clipped it to my belt during the day. The only pain is keeping the necklace part on while sleeping, I just wore an undershirt to bed and it...

    6 Month Scar Update

Good For You Good For You Let your scar shine. My niece calls mine my badge of courage. She skipped school and stayed at hospital with me during my surgery stay. She says my scar reminds her that you can overcome anything. We should all show them with pride.

Thanks Thanks Appreciate the advise. Mine is the Keloid type of scar and also had a bunch of knots under the skin on the part of the scar that looks great. I do have wires but I will definetly try the dermatologist route. I don't have the cleavage to cover mine up but I'm not a male model...

    New Leaks

Thanks, I was very happy when I found it. My surgery happened so quickly I've had to get all the facts post-op. Everyone here seems to be so helpful and concerned. Not sure exactly how valve tore out. Had a fifteen foot fall that could have done it and at the same time was training VERY hard...

    New Leaks

On my 6 month post op they did an echo and found that my mitral and tricuspid valves are leaking. I originally tore my aortic valve out last year and they say I should have died. Luckily from the time they found it I had a new valve in 3 days. My cardioligist said the new leaks are not bad and...

what to take to the hospital - a checklist

I did not have time to prep for my surgery as I tore out my valve and surgery happened quickly. The hospital had everything I needed. The legal documents are the most important. Luckily I already had them all. A great support system will do more for you than any junk you can take with you.

    Scar Pain

I am 11 months post op and my scar is still very painful. There are hard knots in it and some of them will take me to my knees if pushed on. Cardiologist says nothing to worry about. Has anyone else experienced this and if so, is there anything that can be done about it ? I am very active...
