No, don't get it. I had AA after a Ross procedure 7 years earlier. I went into AFib because the aneurysm was pushing on the heart itself. Very SOB, and radiating pain in the jaw. I'm glad you' re talking care of this now. Best of luck!

I have 2 valversaries. One was the original Ross procedure on September 8, 1998. The other was an aneurysm (I never spell this right) in the ascending artery (here's where my surgeon is rolling on the floor, laughing, because of me trying to explain what it was, ha!), it was "fixed" on July 19...

I heard that some patients with BVD also have weaker tissue. My Ross in 1998 was done with some dacron reinforcing, but obviously not enough. I had to go back in 2005 to fix an ascending aneurysm and I just hope and pray that this will be it!
