I started walking the day I was discharged from the hospital and walked everyday. I started with 6 minute walks and gradually increased to 30 minutes. They gave me a chart to follow. stairs were limited. The starting times were so low that I found it humorous but I followed the chart.

I am 10 weeks post op and started using mederma scar cream. has anyone used it before. I seem to notice some itching after applying it but no redness. Is it too soon to use it and is the itching normal

I have been a cop for 24 yrs and have had a valve repair and I am on coumadin temporaily. I have a coworker that has been on coumadin for 2 yrs and it hasn't been a problem and no one at the agency has restricted him.

the doctor said no caffeine because I had A fib prior to surgery bu he really didn't go into a lot of detail. i am suppose to stop the coumadin soon they wanted me to take it for 90 days and as long as I am not in A-fib I can stop it.
