Hypnosis / Autogenic Training for Rhythm Control? Just Fantasy?

Okay, I'm still crazy, my heartrate had a couple of normal days, and it is still regular, but now walking instead of going to 88ish, thats where it starts and rises up to 95 - up to 100+ after walking up a hill for the rest of the walk. Just walking around my house it is 90, and now rising up...

    More things to worry about

Did you already have the oppt pre-booked and it was a coincidence it was just before your surgery? If not then call them and ask for a sooner one as an emergency - I called my dentist and got an appointment 2 days later when I told them why I needed it... But if this isn't possible you should...

What on earth is a normal heartrate!?

Wow, this forum is like a healing fountain. Well, at least my head feels a bit better, and I swear I slept better last night - without the deep thud of my heart and wondering if it was fast or not. Im going to keep walking for the next few weeks, and I weighed myself today and I've lost 13lbs...

What on earth is a normal heartrate!?

Thanks for the quick comments, maybe I am just going crazy thinking about it all day and not talking to anyone or having any reference points on normality. I don't want this to consume my life, from reading around other forums it seems people get all sorts of anxiety and even ruin their lives...

What on earth is a normal heartrate!?

Hey everyone, I sheepishly return to the board after a long spell of absence, after promising to stick around. Truth is I didn't want to come back here because my recovery hasnt been the positive, easy return to health I was hoping for... quite the opposite... My head is a mess with concerns...

    Morphine and Massage

The self regulated morphine works as it will let you have a small dose of morphine every 10-20 minutes or so - you will press a button yourself and receive it - it's safe. But youll be on LOTS of other painkillers which will really take the pain away and make you pretty spaced out anyway - I...

What do you mean by 'Normal?'

I'm at the 2 month mark now after OHS for a valve repair - I'd say for doing normal easy day to day things i feel 95%+ - there are no tiredness / lack of energy issues, just no heavy lifting.... when having a busy day - I mean walking 3 or 4 miles + / and going shopping, out to bars on a night...

Thanks again everyone, didn't know I'd been so missed! :) I will definitely stick around - I'm going to do another post next week from my new house, involving the stanaic burning of my surgical stockings - a ritual to mark the start of my new life! :P lynlw - I am a member of GUCH, but I've...

    Sneeezzzing .... Ouch !!!

Laughing was a big problem for me too, not just regular laughing - but those ones where you can't stop laughing, it was a total nightmare and created a LOT of muscle tension pain around the cut one time in the early weeks! I don't have any cure for this :( I just had to run away from whoever was...

2 Months Post Op - Feeling GREAT!

haha - no - I even got some new ones for Christmas as the old ones were a little scruffy and worn out on the bottoms :) I don't actually think my feet have warmed up - I don't really feel any difference to before my operation... well I have moved into the warmer bedroom in the house as my room...
