Hypnosis / Autogenic Training for Rhythm Control? Just Fantasy?

Okay, I'm still crazy, my heartrate had a couple of normal days, and it is still regular, but now walking instead of going to 88ish, thats where it starts and rises up to 95 - up to 100+ after walking up a hill for the rest of the walk. Just walking around my house it is 90, and now rising up...

    More things to worry about

Did you already have the oppt pre-booked and it was a coincidence it was just before your surgery? If not then call them and ask for a sooner one as an emergency - I called my dentist and got an appointment 2 days later when I told them why I needed it... But if this isn't possible you should...

What on earth is a normal heartrate!?

Wow, this forum is like a healing fountain. Well, at least my head feels a bit better, and I swear I slept better last night - without the deep thud of my heart and wondering if it was fast or not. Im going to keep walking for the next few weeks, and I weighed myself today and I've lost 13lbs...

What on earth is a normal heartrate!?

Thanks for the quick comments, maybe I am just going crazy thinking about it all day and not talking to anyone or having any reference points on normality. I don't want this to consume my life, from reading around other forums it seems people get all sorts of anxiety and even ruin their lives...

What on earth is a normal heartrate!?

Hey everyone, I sheepishly return to the board after a long spell of absence, after promising to stick around. Truth is I didn't want to come back here because my recovery hasnt been the positive, easy return to health I was hoping for... quite the opposite... My head is a mess with concerns...

    Morphine and Massage

The self regulated morphine works as it will let you have a small dose of morphine every 10-20 minutes or so - you will press a button yourself and receive it - it's safe. But youll be on LOTS of other painkillers which will really take the pain away and make you pretty spaced out anyway - I...

What do you mean by 'Normal?'

I'm at the 2 month mark now after OHS for a valve repair - I'd say for doing normal easy day to day things i feel 95%+ - there are no tiredness / lack of energy issues, just no heavy lifting.... when having a busy day - I mean walking 3 or 4 miles + / and going shopping, out to bars on a night...

    Sneeezzzing .... Ouch !!!

Laughing was a big problem for me too, not just regular laughing - but those ones where you can't stop laughing, it was a total nightmare and created a LOT of muscle tension pain around the cut one time in the early weeks! I don't have any cure for this :( I just had to run away from whoever was...

2 Months Post Op - Feeling GREAT!

haha - no - I even got some new ones for Christmas as the old ones were a little scruffy and worn out on the bottoms :) I don't actually think my feet have warmed up - I don't really feel any difference to before my operation... well I have moved into the warmer bedroom in the house as my room...

2 Months Post Op - Feeling GREAT!

I will keep active on here, I don't want to dissapear forever, and I would like to help people if I can - it's why I started it as much as something to look back on -only before I was pretty much permanently logged in here 10 hours a day reading through peoples experiences and various bits of...

with 1 week to go- sleep ran away

Hey Beha, Sleeping is probably a big problem for everyone beforehand - it certainly was for me, but i think i only had 2-3 nights in between finding out and going to hospital - I don't think theres that much you can do - it is worrying - but its normal.... The nurses told me sleeping tablets...

    Sneeezzzing .... Ouch !!!

Never failed on me, even in those moments of terror where you only have 0.2 seconds to stop an "explosive" sneeze you fear will be powerful enough to re-break your bones :)

2 Months Post Op - Feeling GREAT!

First of all, sorry ive been a bit absent from the forums - some people started contacting me asking if I'm okay, and it really touched me, so thank you all for thinknig about me, I was suprissed! The main reason I've been away is simply because I am a LOT better. Heart operations / problems...

    Sneeezzzing .... Ouch !!!

This method is 100% fool proof - I too couldn't stop sneezing - I had a few within a few days after leaving hospital and they were amazingly intensely painful :) I couldn't stop them - but then I discovered "The Technique"!!!! The Technique: As soon as you are aware of an approaching put your...
