    Tissue valves in young patients??

Don't rule out a Ross Procedure. Just make sure you get a surgeon who has done a lot of them if you decide to go for it. I had mine at the age of 40 and was racing mountain bikes at the time back in 2003. I feel great and continue to ride, ski, work out, ride motorcycles, etc. It's a personal...

    Mechanical Valve and Intense Exercise

Ride On Ride On I am coming up on my 9 year anniversary fro OHS in November and still have pretty good endurance. I don't ride all out on the bike like I used to and with 2 small kids I don't have the extended periods of free time to go out on long distance rides but so far so good.

New to board and 5 days from surgery

riding riding Yes, one of the things I decided while in the recovery period of my OHS was that once I got back on my feet I was going to ride my Harley as much as possible. I used to ride a bicycle several hours a week but with small kids I don't have that kind of time right now. So I ride...

    Ross Procedure

Ross Procedure Anything under 50 Ross procedures would be too low in my book. I'd either head to Cleveland or come on to Texas. We have Dr. William Ryan in Dallas and Dr. John D. Oswalt in Austin who both have over 200 Ross procedures with very good statistical results. You need a backup plan...
