Ten weeks post-op ... bit miserable, bit sorry for myself ...

You are going to "get better" in stages.First 3 days-first week-first month. You body and mind went through alot.I agree with rib-it took me a year to shake off 90% of the surgery.I am still working on the last 10%.Hang in there you will be fine.

Pain opinions needed, this is wierd

First 3 days is the worst. After that you generally have passed the first hurdle.I remember my back and shoulders hurt more than the actual incision.I had a rub down once a day and that helped alot. After 1 week I was just taking tylenol a couple times a day.Like Bryan said stay ahead of the pain...

To travel or not to travel, that is the question.

The Ross procedure is more complicated and needs to be done by the very best , most experienced surgeon you can find in my opinion. Travel time would be would be much lower on the priority list for me.

Post-op/hospital- t shirts? hungry? how soon can I drink a little?

It was alot easier for me with a button up shirt for about a month. The hospital I was in had fantastic food (servers wore a tux and brought flowers with each meal) but, nothing tasted good for quite awhile.I remember they brought the best looking hamburger in for lunch one day and I was so...

I have a slight murmur too. My cardio said it is fine and that probably more than half the population has some regurgitation it is very common and rarely causes any problems.

If you are refering to the BP machines that are at most pharmacies you slip your arm in that are for the general public? They are not the most reliable.
