And that explains why the world is my oyster, uh I mean banana:D

The banana is a good food for most people, and certainly for chimps.

However, in the interest of being "fair and balanced," it is not the greatest choice for those of us who have to watch our sugars and blood sugar:

"The only downside to bananas is that they do get most of their calories from sugars. For those who are on a low carbohydrate diet, this may not be the news you were hoping. In about one cup of mashed bananas, banana nutrition facts will show you that these have about 51 grams of carbs, of which about 28 come from sugars."

My DW, though, loves banana pudding. In fact she loves all those sugary things that are kryptonite to Superbob.

AND NOW THE REST OF THE STORY

A couple more interesting facts.

Air Force pilots with weak stomachs tend to eat the Banannas for energy also, they are great if the pilots get sick because they taste the same coming up : as they do going down.

If you plan on a long trip for the following day and hate public restrooms eat three. You will be constipated  most of the next day.

Constipation: High in fiber, including
bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to
overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.

If you plan on a long trip for the following day and hate public restrooms eat three. You will be constipated  most of the next day.

so which one is it? bananas are a constipator or laxidizer?

This unique tropical fruit is extremely high in potassium...

bad for chimps on warfarin?
