Karlynn-those pictures are spectaculer (I am especially fond of the first one). I saw it earlier today on facebook, and have been wondering all day how you did it. I will definitely be checking this out if there is a full size Apple application.

Unfortunately they don't have full apps for Mac. But I did get the one in the link that Norma found - for color painting. I would think there'd be something out there like the Light app.

That is wonderful, Karlynn. I downloaded it immediately!!

Now, pray tell...how do you get the photo from the iPod to VR.com??

I don't do much synch-ing. I imagine it gets synched back onto the computer and then you pull it out for VR.com???

The one App that I get such a kick out of is the Zippo lighter one. It's free, I think. Maybe you're too young, but we used to light up our Zippo lighters (and then Bic) at concerts when we were happy with the band's performance. Now they use phones!!! Anyway, it makes the sound when you flick the lighter, and the flame dance around. It's hilarious!!!

Off to play with color splash!

I wish I could say I was too young!!! Just 2 years younger than you. Yes - I have the Zippo too!

Do you have an Apple computer with iPhoto? If so, when you plug in your iPod to your computer after you've edited a photo (and the iPod saves it as a new photo), it will download onto your computer just as if you've plugged in your camera. If you don't have a Mac with iPhoto, I'm not quite sure what you'd do.

I've been like a little kid watching for the Ice Cream guy except I've been watching for the UPS guy & my ColorSplash CD & my new Dell Laptop that I just ordered! :) Can't wait to start playing with some of my photos!!!!

Yes, we have Macs. That's where I got the iPhoto...free with the Mac Pro Book. Husband and I splurged last summer and bought one for each of us! SO fun!! Good thing, too, since he lost his job in October.....we don't have to share computers... that would be making us both pretty cranky about now!

FUN! Thanks!

We are a two Mac family as well. My son said no more calls for tech support unless we switched to Mac. Smart boy-in the 5 years since we switched to Mac I haven't had to make a single call for tech support.

Marguerite-Sorry to hear about your husband's job. This has become way to common, and I hope something better comes along right away.

Karlynn-I have the ipod touch as well. It sounds like you are getting a lot out of your little ipod. I mostly use mine to download and watch free presentations from itunes university. (But I am going to try to learn from your example.

Ellie needed a new ipod (not an ipod touch) after her 1 year old brother threw it across the room, off a tile wall and into the water filled tub. (Music still worked, but screen was waterlogged). I wasn't there to see it, but a call was made to Daddy (Joe) who was on his way back to Puerto Rico after attending a conference somewhere on the mainland. A crisis was averted when Daddy purchased a replacement ipod from an airport vending machine. We live in amazing times.

We've had computers for 20 years (before there was ever a Windows and we had to use DOS language) This is my first Mac - and I will never go back to PCs. I have had to call tech support, more from my own stupidity than anything else. And there was a defect in my Macbook where the deck cracked by the lid magnets - but that was replaced lickety split.

I love my Touch. It's like carrying a little computer around with me. I have my music on it, my favorite movies and tons of apps. I have a pocket piano and pocket guitar that I can just whip out when I need to figure out a key to a song, or transpose a chart. I email from it, chat from it and surf the web.

I have a good friend who has never had anything but Macs and I always gave her a hard time about being a Mac koolaid drinker. Now I'm one!!!!

I have the new iLife 09, with the iPhoto with facial recognition. It's amazing.

It would be nice if ColorSplash and Light came in versions for the Mac. The problem I've found with the apps is that the files are saved in smaller versions (since that's how they're put on the Touch) and they get a little grainy if you print them out larger than 5x7.

My best friend warned me to not get a PC. I did not listen though:rolleyes:
I'm not complaining but I should paid the extra 200$.okay 399$

I took a computer class in junior high(1977) we had to use data, enter,
etc.Have no idea what those were, but the first one to come out was Apple.

Karlynn, this is encouraging me to get a mac next time. :)

Mac man here, too. Wrote dissertation on a Mac SE (the gray computer-in-a-box model) and never looked back. Have owned a Mac SE 30, Performa 6200, Performa 6360, Performa 600 (bought used), iMac 300 MHz (slide out tray), iMac 450 MHz slot DVD/CD, eMac 1.25 GHz CRT model, and the current one iMac Intel 2.66 duo (with Boot Camp partition with Windows XP SP3--ew! a Windows 'commonwealth' Mac--the equivalent of putting queen Elizabeth II on US currency instead of important past presidents).

My iPod is an older 30 Gb video one, with some pictures, but I haven't upgraded to an iPod touch just yet. I was considering an iPhone, but Apple demands an expensive monthly service plan with AT&T that I just can't swallow. Perhaps when my iPod video finally gets difficult to use due to poor battery or other problems, I'll buy an iPod Touch.

How good are the applications for the Touch? Does the iPod Touch have a camera built in like the iPhone? Does it have a motion sensor built in? If so, I may get one sooner than later. Sorry to sound ignorant, but my iPhoto doesn't transfer pictures to my iPod unless I manually tell it to do so. How do you get iPhoto to do this automatic transfer?

Chris
