On the way to work, Monday, February 2 (Ground Hog Day ... 6 more weeks of winter coming), I noticed this plate on a Subaru Outback wagon:
WHAT V 8

Every morning on the way to work, I used to see a Pontiac Grand Am with the plate "BMW AT 40" ... but I haven't seen it for a while....

What've you seen recently?

car parked in front of one of the frat houses, plate read "GME HD"
with a bumper sticker next to it in cloud letters "I like it!"

I didn't know you had private plates in America ? Dont you have some kind of rule that the plate only has to be on the front or the back or something ?

I once saw a Ferrari with the plate BEG 4 1T which I liked (that's an plate from 1979 T' and resold)
On a big ole pink Mercedes I recently saw PEN 1S ! That made me chuckle (that's a 1978 S' plate)
I had to buy my plate a few years ago when I saw it for sale, it's now on my VW camper and worth a lot more than the van !! JST1N... ( this one would have started life in 1975)

CT and Mass the plates have to be on the front and back but Where I live now (North Carolina) they only have to be in the back. I saw some private plates I don't dare to repeat on here.

California has plates on the front & back. Personalized plates cost extra and I believe that they can only contain 7 characters. Since our plates are made by guests of the California Penal System, all proposed plates are screened for anything that might construe a swear word, or pornographic intend. Mine says ESSNAIL and my hubby the 18-wheeler driver uses GEERJMR

GRT IM L8, Just saw another but forget what it was now.

HA ... love that one!

Freddie...as a Texan, I read that as saying "New Yorker"...:D

That is the way I read it, too! Rather clever....

Depends on the state. IL, for instance, requires front AND back plates. Pennsylvania, on the other hand, requires only rear plates. I don't know any state that has "front" only plates, namely because the rear plates are the ones that have lights around them to illuminate them at night....

Heh ... I did a double take when I saw this one early one morning, the week of February 12:
GET IT UP

It was on a black HHR, driven by an older gentleman.....

Another good one.

Another good one.

A few houses down from mine a neighbor just bought a Mercedes and her plate reads: ITSPD4. I thought that was a good one.
Most of them that I see during the week I forget because I can't stop to write them down. I will pay closer attention and maybe my brain will remember.:D:D
