I came home on Monday after noon. I have had a rough few days with nausea /vomitning. I feel beter todayand have been eating small amounts all dayI have had some migrane auras and other flashing light things. The nurse thinks it's the pain med so I have just been taking Tylenol since yesterday.I only have pain when I move around. She also want's the Dr. to check my didge level because visual things are a sign of toxcicity. I just had my first sneeze and it was not fun...Enough for now still not too strong. Thanks for all the well wishes..

Good to see you're back home and starting to get past the worst of it. Still, take it easy and only go as fast as your body dictates (which won't be very fast at all!! ;) ).

Meanwhile the visual auras could also be a result of your neck or shoulders being out, but I'm glad your doc is covering all bases. Best to make sure, rather than assume.

Hope your recovery gets easier every day.

A : )

Isn't it a good feeling being home?...Even if you aren't feeling so good.
Sorry to hear about the auras, you certainly don't need a migraine post op.
Hopefully its just a short term effect.
Wishing you well:) Dina

So happy to read you are safely home.
While still in the hospital post op, I had optical migraine with no headache and still, almost a year later, get them. I had zig zags in the hospital about 3 times, still get them and also have light floaters. My opthomologist says they are harmless but they are annoying.

Good you were able to come home before the snow. Made your ride easier.

Hope you have a rapid and uneventful recovery.

Welcome home and congratulations, you made it. Now all the best on your recovery. Hope the post op issues clear up soon.

Welcome home. I hope the switch to Tylenol works- those meds can be troublesome with the digestive system. Hoping that each day is a better one!

The last few days in the hospital I've had the same aura issue and they weren't sure why for me as well. Today I've only briefly had it once so what ever has been causing it for me seems to be going away (only been home since yesterday afternoon)

We went to Target today for excercise and essentials (M&Ms and conditioner).I did one slow lap and we went home, enough for today. My appetite is finally better now that I only take Tyelnol for pain, it seems to help so i guess I'll stick with it it's better than hurling all the time.

M&Ms are an essential part of recovery:D .... welcome home!

Steri strips are off today and the incison looks amazing.I have yet to get a pic to upload but I will try on the Toots forum. The nurses have been very impressed with it so far, I wish the tube holes looked as well.I havebeen keeping them covered with gauze & Auquafor (?sp).
