I just wanted to let ya'll know that I am going to the ER this morning as I have been having horrible palpitations for the past few days, my BP was up to 197/146 and has not stopped fluctuating in the past few days, and my teeth (upper and lower) have been really aching and I have had arm pain up and down my right arm. All this and on medication too...LOL so I just wanted to let yall know where I will be and will post again asap to let you know how things worked. I can't believe this is happening....Harrybaby:(:(

Harry,
I'm glad you're going to the ER to have it looked into and will be waiting to hear a good report.:)

Gosh, Harry. You will be in my thoughts all day. Please be well and come back and give us good news.

My very best wishes for you today.

Marguerite

Well...Let Me Tell You What Happened....

Well...Let Me Tell You What Happened....

Hi Gang,

I went to two hospitals....The first one I went to was so busy that they couldn't see me....so I drove up to the hospital that I would normally go to, and I was taken into the triage and the girl just asked for my meds list and failed to take any vital signs. I was then brought into a room and the nurse that was supposed to be taking care of me asked me what was going on and I tried to tell him but he called me a liar and then hooked me up to the heart monitor and he failed to hook me up to the blood pressure monitor before taking off to attend to someone else, to which he never came back. Meanwhile, the wrong Blood Pressure cuff that was going off set off an alarm at both my machine and the monitor at the nurses desk and it went off multiple times and no one came to check on it. I put up with this for about an hour and then I simply stood up, ripped off the heart pads and wires and whatever else was attached and then I simply walked out of the Emergency Room and drove home.

I tried to call the ER Manager...He's on vacation until Jan 5th. I tried to call the VP of Emergency Room Operations....She's on Vacation until January 5th....The only thing I was able to obtain, of which they were VERY Happy to oblige me in was a statement that I am to send back to them that says that they are not to treat me in any way, shape or form from hear on out.

I am so angry that I can't even stand myself at the moment. Sadly, I don't know what to do from here other than to wait until something major happens and then deal with it. :(:mad::mad::(

This is just my opinion but I think you ought to sit back, take a deep breath, and just reflect on your situation, and where you would like it to go.

Obviously, you wanted to get seen by someone in ER and that didn't happen the way you wanted it. So, you may be possibly be putting yourself in more danger by letting your anger take over.

If your symptoms are continuing and have not abated, I think you should seriously consider going back to the first hospital (call them first to see if they can take you now?), or perhaps the second, or if there are any other hospitals in your area perhaps go to another. Your symptoms sound pretty serious, don't you think you should get checked out?

Since you felt in the first place that you were ill enough to warrant a trip to the ER, has that changed? If not, you owe it to yourself and your loved ones to take care of yourself and not let your emotions rule your head. Just my opinion. The ER is frequently not a very desirable way to get medical care, but on short notice you don't have a lot of choice.
