Hope you'll let us know how you are doing.

Well people, do not know if this surgery will ever take off. It was supposed to be for the 18th of Nov but the weekend end before I got a bad cold and one of my upper molars started to hurt. On Monday the 17th I cancelled the surgery because of the cold. I never gave much thought to the tooth as the last tooth problem I had took 4 months to locate which tooth needed root canal. I have strange teeth. My Endodontist watched the tooth all week had a consult with 2 other Endodontists a Periodontist and a oral surgeon. Finally on Mon 11/24 they did root canal on the tooth. If I had done the valve surgery on the 18th I would have been in a lot of trouble. You can not do any dental work for 6 months after heart surgery. I do not think I could handle the pain for 6 months. On Monday the tooth should be healed enought for them to put in a crown and post. I told my Surgeons office I should be ready for surgery on the 8th but have not heard from them. The strange thing is I rarely get a cold I have always taken a lot of vitamins. My teeth I really dont understand. I had fillings in most of my teeth as a child which later turned to caps. Now if I have any more problems with my teeth dont know what I will do. It is so expensive. Two root canals with crowns and posts cost over $3000.00 . I know there are about 5 or 6 crowns that are old and my dentist says replaced. Well will let you know if I ever do go to surgery or what. Thank you all for the good wishes. I should have written earlier but am so depressed over this.

Harmony...thanks for the post. You have been on my mind and in my prayers. I can imagine the stress is getting to you. I too have had some dental issues. I am "on hold until Spring". Waiting is the absolute worst!! Update us when you can.

Sorry you have had some setbacks. They sure don't help the anxiety level.
Wishing you all the best -- hang in there!

So glad to read that surgery is a probable go, Harmony. I wish you a successful surgery and uneventful recovery. Godspeed!
