Hi All,

I just wanted to let yall know that I am being evaluated for possible kidney cancer. I went to see the doctor today and explained to him what the symptoms were, and he verified for the 4th time this week that I am passing blood in my urine, and I told him that I also have been having lower back aches, I get fevers that come and go, and I am tiring out very easily these days. Sooooooooo...that being said, I am going in for a cystoscopy on Friday to rule out kidney stones that might be causing this (the doctor told me that I have hardly any stones in my kidneys -which is great, but he wants to see if I have any in the bladder that might be causing all the bleeding, before he starts evaluating for renal cancer.

I asked him straight out if this could be cancer and he said yes, not likely, but yes, so I guess there is a glimmer of hope there. I just want to start feeling better....Just want to keep yall posted. Harrybaby

P.S. I won't tell you that I am not scared, because I am, but I am trying to remain as calm as possible.:confused::eek:

Well I reviewed your medical findings and it's just not present. Thought you'd like to know.

Seriously though, I hope it's nothing more then a common kidney cyst like I have and nothing else.

With the glasses that you have on in your avatar, I am surprised that you can review your own big toe let alone medical findings...LOL :D:p:D

Lord, Ross, I hope that's all it is, but with my luck lately.......I am trying to stay on the up and up, but I am getting tired.......

I agree with Ross, although I consulted my crystal ball and found that cancer is definitely not in your future.

There is an explanation, and they will find it. In the meantime, I am praying for you.

Harry,

My wife has kidney cysts and has to be monitored regularly -- has a c-scan on tap tomorrow -- just to be sure everything's okay (which it has been so far).

I hope and pray it will just come down to regular monitoring for you, too, and nothing more than that.

Well, darn it, my mind reading skills with doctor's seem to have failed. So that being said, I will keep you in my prayers and ask that the Lord send your guardian angel to stay with you. ;)

I pray that all is well with you. having said that

I have a friend that had a tumor in her kidney and it was cancer. They removed her kidney and she if doing fine. No treatments of any kind. The doctor says it was contained. She feels a lot better and her symptoms were back pain and stomach pains.

Prayers coming your way
Earline

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling better yet. I know even thinking about cancer can be scarry. I went through that with my husband so I can sympathize with you. I've got a good friend at church who is on her second round of chemo for renal CA and has really been doing pretty good with it. Hopefully you will dodge this one, Harry. I'll be praying for you.

Well, Harry, there's just so much other stuff it could more easily be, that I am going to sit here and think of those things instead. I hope you will, too.

Seems like most of the time, doctors will try to cure you of a hangnail, but likely darn near kill you with anticipation and fear in the process.

Be well,

I am thinking since you asked the doc if it could be cancer, he almost has to say it could be. The very positive thing is.......he said he does not think so. I'm thinking real positive for you. Hope they get you feeling better! Keep us posted. Prayers.

I'll just beat around the bush from now on. Sorry to offend anyone with a possible disease to look out for that's relevant to the symptoms. I'll just keep my mouth shut when I see the possibility of a life threatening illness that's not yet diagnosed and offer prayer service. Yeah, I know, leave it up to the doctor. But I didn't see where he said his doctor suggested it could be polycystic kidney disease. Please don't be sensitive for me if there's something I'm missing.

Please, I don?t see where your post was meant to be helpful or informative ? if that was your intention you missed the mark ? read it from Harry?s shoes.

Praying for you Harry that it's nothing more than a bad kidney infection or bladder stones/or infection. I have had very bad kidney and/or bladder infections in the past which cause very painful lower back pain and blood in the urine.

So lets hope that this is all in your case too. Good luck to you! :)

Don't be coy dude. I mentioned a specific disease that he can be afflicted with. I would feel negligent not saying something. If you're withholding information and you think my information has no use, maybe you should reevaluate your purpose on a cardiac support forum.

In any case, I hope it's benign Harry and I'm sorry we've destroyed your thread.
