SNOW! I am missing the summer sun already.. and with heating cost and a long winter ahead here in New england..we covering kids and ourselves in down and waiting as long as possible before we turn heat on!!

It's getting close here. It's been around 42-43 in the mornings here, but I went up to Warrensburg, NY (near Lake George) yesterday and at one point it was 39 degrees mid morning. So we may have an early snow this year.

Heat's been on for a while.

Great Pic, Dennis....

NO, NO, say it isn't "SNOW!!" No snow down here in Virginny. Days are in the high 70's and nights go down to about 55-60....my kind of weather. "They're" saying a cold winter, but who knows. Tyce said the other day that if he never sees snow again it will be too soon....guess you know his feelings. I like it, but am very happy to only have a tiny bit and then it's gone. We haven't even had our heat on in the new house, but did do a prebuy for propane on our heatpump backup and fireplace.

Enjoy that snow.

we were under a frost warning last night ... brrrrrrrr! like ross, we have the furnace running too! where did summer go?!?!

Yup...
snow in the mountains and freezing temps at night.

but...but...but...my friends have heaters in their golf carts.

WOOOO-HOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!;)

87 degrees here yesterday, and I saw no snow while in the Smoky Mountains.
For that, I am glad!!!!!!!

what's snow? monsoon season is over, but humidity is still over 100%.
fortunately the temperature has dropped to upper 80's daytime, mid 70's at night.
finally got a chance to sleep with the AC off last night. not all that hopeful, but
maybe in december will be cool enough to wear long pants.

hehe, after i moved here, a local came to visit to see how much stuff i brought.
she pointed to the space heater and asked "what's that for?"

It is still 50 degrees or so on our deck, but there is definitely snow at the top of our mountain this afternoon. Does anybody else have snow yet? I am sure Colorado already has some.

When we went up to Cloudcroft/Ruidoso this weekend, Ski Apache was getting it's first dusting of snow. The temps there were in the lower 40's in town & still dropping when we left. In fact, we saw quite a few mountain cabins & homes with smoke coming from their chimneys.
