October 28 is my big day...I am having a CT angio instead of a cath..If that's what I heard..I could have got the name wrong...too much to process at once...

Louanne, that's great that your days in the waiting room are numbered. Soon you will be on the other side! Hope you will have a successful repair and a speedy recovery. Wishing you the very best and hope to hear your stories for the folks behind you like me.

I put you on the calendar, Louanne, so it's "official". I know you are anxious to get this behind you.

Good for you Louanne! I'm sure it must be overwhelming finally getting a date but hopefully you will also feel somwhat at peace without worrying about the when. Take Good Care of yourself over the next few weeks while you prepare for your big day. I hope you can pamper yourself and perhaps treat yourself a little bit.

All the best to you!
Susie

P.S. Maybe our Red Sox will entertain you with a trip to the World Series

Louanne,So glad you have your date and

My diversion is my nieces baby. I watch her a few days a week. She just turned 9 months old , was born at 26 weeks at 1# 14 oz. 14 inches long. She is healthy and happy and my inspiration.

Hi Louanne,
Congrats you have a date. Keep your self busy between now and then..and a visit to Nicholas michaels would not be a bad idea..I did 3 days before my surgery :)

I'm not driving yet I need a home version too!! I sent you a visitor message..check it out, quick before the game starts!! Go SOX:)

Have you received your pre-op (day before) instructions yet? Wonder if they are the same I had at MGH.

Thinking about you and hoping these two weeks pass easily for you. This really is the hardest part.

I have a packet with instructions and started to read it and when it got to the family waiting room I couldn't read any more and put it away..I am really freaked about my kids seeing me after with a vent in and tubes everywhere...I will pick it back up one of these days. I have to go the day before for my test and teaching..then be there for 5:30 am on the 28th.

That's exactly what I did. The testing goes easily and smoothly. No problems at all. Be sure to have your 'blue card'.

We processed through all of it by late morning and then spoke with Anesthesiologist. We left MGH that afternoon by 2:30 or so as we had to wait a while for him to be available. We chose to stay in Boston at the Holiday Inn next to MGH where they give a special rate for MGH patients. That way we didn't have to worry about weather or traffic on a winter morning.)
