Ok my song is off key and I would prefer a man ,
but my well-wishes are genuine:)

Congratulations! And where was my invite I'd like to know?? Is it because you didn't want a Big Brother fan there?? ;) Congratulations you old dog... shoulda done it years ago in case she'd traded you in for a younger model, but better late than never :p Here's to many many years of happiness to you both. :D

Lynn

Thank you all for your best wishes. :) :) I was set to post the news on here next day, but unfortunately the wind was taken out of our sails by a bad family reaction to events and the zest disappeared. :( :(

Lynn invites are a bad issue. Grrrrrrr.
We kept it very secret and small to avoid complications. Just the four of us and as our youngest is not old enough to be a legal witness, we asked two dear old friends along. Afterwards a very nice meal at The Milbank starting with vintage pink champagne at £65 a bottle!!! Feeling great next day rang my aged folks who were delighted with the news, rang my sister who cried tears of joy down the phone. Rang the new in laws to get a fit of pique as they didn't know, how dare we exclude them etc etc,; two hours later shes on the phone berating Linda. Is there any wonder with an attitude like that we wanted to do our own thing. Families aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrgghhhhh.

Well 10 days in and I'm in trouble already. :D "That's a terrible choice of picture. Why didn't you use the cropped one with your eyes open?"

Many thanks again VR people.

awwww what a shame some people are so mean spirited that they won't let you enjoy what is YOUR day - well, yours and Linda's - without sticking their oar in! Miserable sods! Well bravo to you both for doing what you want, not what a load of retentive relatives wanted!

:D

Congratulations.

Aww, don't worry about it. Just let your inlaws be who they are and everything will smooth out in time. I can honestly understand them feeling left out. It was your wedding though and I'm glad you did it how you wanted to.
