That's just what I intend to do. The local running club is doing a trail run at 6:30 tonight and with temps in the 80s running through a swamp has just that effect.

Oh hey, I didn't show you my Tuesday night workout. It takes cast iron balls. In the third pic I'm striking a very chimp-like pose.

You have some sort of track and field club thereabouts?

This was at an all-comers T&F meet that has been going on for 40+ years for 10 weeks every summer. I've been doing them for more than 20 years myself. It's done by the town parks dept. I do the shot put and run the mile most weeks. No sign up, no entry fee, no results recorded, just show up, toe the line and go.

They run several heats of each event. More than 125 people ran the mile. The fastest time was 4:17. There was a 9 yr old girl and a 92 yr old man. I ran it in 8:23 and there were 7 other guys in my 60-69 age group alone.

In advance of the great 7/11 weigh-in (hey, makes one yearn for a Slurpee and a Big Dog!), Superbob wishes to note for the record that steel weighs more than flesh. Therefore, The Man of Steel may start reporting an adjusted weight tomorrow morning. :D:p:)

Ok, I'm mad.

I just posted my weigh-in results in last week's thread, so now I have to type it again. Me thinks Lex Luther had something to do with this mix-up!

UP TWO!

UP TWO!

Sounds kinda like a marching order, "Up two, three, four...Up two, three, four"....or, by changing the "two" to "yours," it takes on a whole different meaning. :p

Heck, Ref, a glitch with the scales can cause a fluctuation of two -- not to worry. :)

I must say, I didnt do too well this week and was dreading getting on the scales:( I didnt exercise ,like I usually do , didnt starve myself(as I have to do
b/c of my metabolism)but I ended up the same :) Which means I have to work
double hard this week or I WILL have a big gain.
Depressed - I dont think I'll ever wear my skinny jeans again!!!

Just an FYI for those who don't click the New Posts link - I've put a new recipe on the Throw-Down Recipes thread.

Those sporting pics are very impressive!...looks like great fun!

I seem to have the same problem as others this week...a glitch on the scales...they seem to be weighing me heavier than I remember...so I chose not to remember what they said...I just feel fat and bloated ......

Don't know how to spin this. My Thurs night WW weigh-in was down .6 but Friday morning at home was up .1 lb from last Fri. I think I'm going with the WW number. Home must have higher gravity.

I was in the middle of posting my weight and somewhat happy that it appeared that my upward spiral had slowed with only a one pound gain for the week when I decided to check last weeks report (I really can't remember last weeks weight:eek:).....Glad I did....I am down a pound:D....don't know how I managed that but I'll take it:)

That sinister Lex Luthor has been working overtime this week! Superbob has found his abode stocked with chocolate-frosted pop-tarts, and he again was dragged out to an Italian restaurant in the middle of the day and compelled to eat a huge mound of spaghetti topped with Italian sausages, and then to take more home for dinner! Diabolical! Last night, after earing at a restaurant called Three lil Pigs (nuff said), he found himself in the coffeehouse getting a cranberry-orange scone with a latte. What? How did that happen?

Okay but do remember for perspective's sake that the Man of Steel is of a different cellular structure (steel weighs 490 pounds per cubic foot), and hence his true loss during the Throw Down has been 721 pounds.

Okay, but in Earth terms, not those of Krypton, Superbob gained -- ouch! -- 3 pounds during the past week. Curses, Lex Luthor -- this will not stand! Superbob vows to do better this coming week! In the name of Truth, Justice, and the American Way!

On Monday, Superbob finally gets to see an orthopedic surgeon -- not just a physician's assistant -- to see about his "good knee" (as opposed to his "bad" football knee) going snap, crackle, pop, crunch, ouch! going down the basement stairs 3 1/2 months ago. Superbob very much misses taking long walks with Superdawg, and Superdawg sure does too. He looks forward to hearing what the Doc thinks. Meanwhile, he needs to stop eating like a SuperPig!

Well, according to the Wii Fit, I've lost .4 lbs since I got it two weeks ago. :( Not much progress, huh?

On my home scale it looks like I'm up a bit, so I'm going to go with the Fit. ;)

Next week I will be in Florida at Walt Disney World. I absolutely know I'm going to come back at least 5 pounds heavier, but most likely more. Between the sodium intake and the heat, my body is going to be holding onto a LOT of water weight! But I'm sure some of it will be "real" weight too, since I love the food there (Epcot is the BEST! :D ). Hopefully I'll get it off quickly, but somehow I doubt it. :(

Congratulations to those of you who have had success! :D And to those of you who haven't liked your scales this week (me) keep on keepin' on! :)

Hey Nikki, .4 IS a worthy weight loss. You may have firmed up even more than that would indicate.

Way to go Cooker. Surprises are nice huh!

Superbob, 721 is significant progress no doubt. I have full confidence that you'll be able vanquish Lex and his three pound gift in no time.
