So if the anticipation hasnt been killing me enough...i just got the call that they had to push my surgery back a day soo now its june 19th...ughh i just want to get it over with!

I'm so sorry for the delay. It isn't easy when that happens but I always think things happen for a reason. When they called you, maybe you should have asked for some anti-anxiety medication. There's nothing wrong with a little chemical help. It is for times like this they were developed.

Hang in there. You will be the other side of the mountain before you know it. You'll do fine!

Sorry to hear about the delay. I know how it feels. I went through my pre-admission and then was bumped two weeks and had to do it again. I day isn't so bad. Take advantage and do something you really want to do....have some fun! You'll be on the the other side of the mountain soon.

i had the same situation, mine was scheduled for june 5th and when they told me two days before surgery that it would be the 6th, i almost came out of my chair! I was so irritated and just wanted it to be done and over with. I found out that i needed surgery back in dec. and had to wait 6 months though for school to get out though, but the last two weeks is the worst.

But now im 8 days post op and i am walking like it never happened, obviously the 3 inch scar on my chest hinders my arm movement but i feel fantastic, so it will be over before you know it;)

try and hang on....my surgery was rescheduled and i had to wait a few days. but it'll be all good once your healed! trish

Delays can be a pain. Just as you get psyched up with a target in mind, it changes. :( It happened to me.

My first VR was scheduled for a Friday. Went in Wednesday afternoon, all the usual preparatory stuff, starved from Thursday night, Friday early morning given a pre med and into surgical gown, getting myself focused. Things seemed to be dragging on As I laid waiting for the trolley to surgery, then Friday lunchtime an apologetic nurse tells me there was no bed space in intensive care as previous patients had problems, so I should go home for the weekend and come back Sunday evening for a Monday op!!!!

Try to stay focused and positive all will be well in the end. :)
