This is kind of hump day for the ThrowDowners:eek: :D ....I for one have to keep on track the rest of the week....I don't feel like I have been doing the yo yo quite as bad but there was an occasion that temped the Chimp past his breaking point on Sunday.....being Baptist is detrimental to the waistline:D

We have seen some impressive reports this week....Lets keep it going!!! Have a great day:)

I tried to read the whole thread but people kept talking about Snickers bars!!! How cruel!

I am a half pound lower than I was before my trip to Mexico the first week of April. (As of Friday...sorry for the delay...busy planning the next trip. I'll be gone again this Friday but should be able to weigh in Saturday night or Sunday morning.)

So:

Starting weight: 179
Last week: 149
This week: 145
Loss this week: -4
Total loss: -34

For those of you who remember, my 17 year-old daughter is "throwing down" too. She's down a whopping 47 pounds (from 186 to 139 at 5' 8")! We bought her a prom dress and a graduation dress this weekend; they were a size 8 and a size 6 respectively. She used to wear a 14! 3 pounds to goal for her!

Congratulations to you both!
I was specifically thinking of you and your daughter when I asked mine if she'd consider joining WW with me.
Thanks!

Congratulations PJ and to your daughter also. What a wonderful accomplishment for your daughter. She'll remember her senior year very fondly!

My somewhat tight jeans are feeling a bit big today.

Stepped on the scale - only about a 2 lb loss. So I figure I must be trading fat for muscle. (Pretty soon I'm going to be able to kick that Chimps butt!)

Stomach looks a little flatter.

I'm hopeful and pretty motivated.

My goal is to be a smokin' hottie by my 50th b-day in December. ;) :D

If you've been talking to Ross, he fell for those photoshopped pictures hook, line and sinker! ;) :D

Karylnn, you're doing great. If you keep up what you're doing, you'll be just where you want to be. Cindy and I are little by little incorporating more activity into our days. Keep it up. You're doing well on your eating/fitness plan in the midst of this wild and crazy WW crew. Superbob is too...doing well that is...wild and crazy maybe, but that's not due to WW.

Heck?if we do a calendar of the ThrowDowners after we have all reached our goals there is no telling the impact:D ?..the gods and goddesses of the ThrowDown would cause a stampede to local hospitals for valve replacement surgery and a get in free card to ?Club ThrowDown?  ?..No?we best keep our little society low key:cool:  :p

Superbob has tried to sabotage The Chimp with shipments of Krispy Kremes and crates of supersized Snicker's bars. Alas, to no avail -- the Chimp just keeps losing weight at a pace to put The Man of Steel to shame. Guess will have to put those superpowers to use for purposes other than mischief. :p ;)

Heard on the news yesterday that for every 1 lb you lose, it's the equivalent of 4lb weight off your knees.......boy, I sure hope that one is true. Hmmmm, so let me rethink this....if you lose a lb and you lose it in your knees, it's equal to 4lbs.....I hope I have the skinniest knees in the throwdown club this week. He He He.

well at the PCP office this morning it looked like some of that contraband got through:D ...I am hoping that being fully dressed the cell phone, billfold, keys and check book is the culprit.....I know his scales weigh higher than mine.....Hey, how much does my valve weigh????:p

Good news is that I am off the statins:D :D

Hey, always good news to get doctor's clearance for junking any meds! Congrats, Cooker!

To my knowledge, I have never had any serious cholesterol problem, except at times my "good" cholesterol has been a tad low. Nevertheless, all docs over the past several years have kept me on a statin. I think I will discuss that with my PCP at next month's appointment.

Evelyn, that study of the effect of overall weight on the knees (if I understand it correctly) is at the source of my woes. I have always been on the heavy side, but I have always been active (even ran a few marathons). Now that weight is wreaking havoc on my knees. Here's the dilemma: to lose weight, I need to exercise more -- but the doc says I should stay off my feet for at least a month, and then he'll decide whether to do surgery or not. (I see Tiger Woods has just had knee surgery -- at least I would be in great company! :D

I guess I need to look into some form of aqua exercise/therapy.

I just return from the local department store with 2 pair of 36 inch waist bluejeans:D :D :D ...I was in 42 inch waist when we started this ThrowDown......

Now I just may be the new hottie on the block Karlynn:D ;) :D

I suggest we have a Hottie in Jeans Showdown vote!:p

Karlynn, post your picture.

Cooker, post your picture.

In case of a tie, the Ref will decide!;)

ps Way to go, Cooker!:)

Congratulations Cooker! Did you do the dance of joy????

I don't think I'm quite ready to post my jeans pick yet. (I haven't received enough money to do so!:p :p )
