This is Traci, Zack's "terriific" wife. I just wanted to let you all know that Zack has made it through surgery today. They started this morning at 7:30am and started sewing him back up at 12:30. He was a great candidate for the on'x valve. The doctors said everything went very smoothe and Zack is responding well. It was tough leaving him at the hospital tonight but I know all of your thoughts and prayers are with him. I just have to say what a great website this is. You all have helped us out in more ways than you could ever know. Thank you ALL, for your well wishes, for Zack and his family. He was adimate about me posting tonight and thanking you all. And I do. Thank you!!!

Wonderful news, Traci. Thanks so much for taking the time to post. Hope you slept well last night and that today finds Zack out of CCU and on the road to a complete recovery. Tell him we look forward to having him posting again soon.

What wonderful news. Thanks, Traci for posting about Zack. Remember the vr.com motto: NAP NAP NAP, WALK WALK WALK, BREATHE BREATHE BREATHE. Remember, too, that you have to relax and get some rest, too. Right now, he's only as strong as you are.

He's in my prayers.

Great news! I wish him a very smooth recovery

And Traci - the nap, walk, breathe applies to you too!:)

Really good news! I'm sure things will continue well. Be sure to follow the advice above about resting and de-stressing yourself!

Based on my experience, you'll probably find that he's pretty well attended today, and that it's the second day after surgery that they start pushing the patient, and it will be a big help to have you around.

Way to go, Zack! This is wonderful news to wake up to this morning. Thanks for letting us know, Traci, and I hope you were able to get some rest last night. I know you will want to be around to oversee his recovery as much as you can. Wishing you both all the best.

Good news...

Good news...

Glad to hear Zach's surgery went well and he's started his road to recovery. Now, all he has to do is follow the doc's orders and he should be fine. REST, REST, REST!!! He'll have plenty of time to work...now he just needs to focus on resting and taking it easy.

Praying for a continued uneventful recovery!

God Bless!

Hi Traci,

Wonderful news on Zack! Let him know we are thinking of him. Both of you need to rest and concentrate on his recovery. The hard part is over.Keep us updated.:)

Thanks for taking the time out to post, Traci, and best wishes to Zack for a speedy, boring and bump-less recovery ! You need your rest, too, and donn't forget to add "eat" to the VR.com motto of walk, sleep, breathe !

If you have any more questions, we've mostly all been there, so post away - someone will have an answer !

That is incredible news Traci and thanks for taking the time to give us the good news. As a fellow "Puget Sounder" tell Zack I am praying for a continued smooth recovery. We are looking forward to Zack's post as well, as I know he will bounce back quickly! Be sure and take care of yourself too~I know it is hard for our significant others as well since we rely on you so much. My continued prayers are with Zack!

Great news. I hope you were able to get some rest as it's going to be very important to both of you to get plenty of rest. My husband was my rock. Take care and will be looking forward to Zack's posting as well.
