Thank you all for the well wishes! I have been overwhelmed by the response I have received since joining this board. You guys have really made me feel part of the family! I have tried to answer some of you who had specific questions individually, if I missed anyone I'm truly sorry!
I am leaving for the hospital tomorrow after work with surgery Thursday morning at 6:30 am CST, so I won't be able to respond until after surgery Lord willing!
To those that have recently under gone surgery, those that have yet to have surgery and to those that are recovering, my prayers are with you all!

Matt

Good luck with your surgery, rest easy, thoughts and prayers are with you.

Two things...

- I found that Fentanyl, a close cousin of morphine, worked just as well, and in my case, avoided some side effects, such as dopiness, nausea, and the dreaded "Morphine Constipation." It comes in a variety of formats, and I had a press-when-it-hurts doser-limiter. I went home with Tramadol.

- Ask if they use a lip clip for the breathing tube. If they do, ask them to use tape instead. The clip leaves yoiu with a fat lip. While it's not a big deal considering the surgery, you just don't need one more little, annoying thing later.

At 6:30 AM Thursday, I'll be surrendering my valuables, gowning, and waiting to have my sinus rotorootered at 8:30 AM. They're going to put me out for it (yes - breathing tube), but I do get to go home in the afternoon. You'll be in my thoughts.

Very best wishes,
