That's fantastic news. Best wishes to Earline as she continues her recovery.

Three hours is good too! Thanks for posting. I love to read about successful valve surgery. You must be worn out riding herd on a 2-year-old alone and waiting for surgery news.
Best wishes to Marie!

I always love it when Ann says, "We're leaving the light on...."

Yippeeeeeeee for you Earline. Soft hugs coming your way for a truly boring and uneventful recovery. Just remember to let all those around you take care of your every wish in the coming days so you can have a smooth recuperation..!

Marie,

So happy to hear that your surgery went well and I wish you a very speedy, uneventful recovery! I am 8 days out from surgery today and really feeling fabulous, considering! My husband read me all the post-surgery notes from everyone here on VR.com when I was in a regular room and it cheered me up immensely...hope you know we all care about you and are praying for you! Congratulations....you made it!!

Thanks for the updates, Lorrie; glad all is going well for Earline!

update on Earline

update on Earline

She is doing great. They made her sit up and walk again today. She was out of bed for most of the morning and was back in bed for a break around 1pm. I visited with my son. I am sure they will get her out of bed again this evening.
She said the Dr. update was there is still quite a bit of blood drainage out of the tube so he wants to leave it in and check it tomorrow. He doesn't want to take the tube out early because getting it back in is not fun. If they take it out Sat. morning then she can come home on Sunday. She is not in a rush to go home which is good. She isn't eating much but I think that is normal. She just takes a few bites of everything they bring her. She looks great and we couldn't be happier with her recovery so far.
Thanks again for all the love and support. She really appreciates it.

Thanks for the up-date Lorrie. Glad everything is going well.
Earline - remember to eat, rest and walk. Those are the only three things one must do.

Wishing you a continue smooth & speedy recovery

Lorrie,
Thanks for the update. As soon as I got home from work today I got on here to check this site.
I am happy that she is doing well. Tell her Praline says hello. And I can understand her not eating much. Hospital food stinks! New Orleans is known for its food but I don't think anyone told the hospital that when I was there.:D
