Whew!

Whew!

My lasix FINALLY kicked in! I'm back down to my last 2007 weigh-in weight. I just knew it had to be water weight, since it jumped up so fast. But when you take your lasix, and take your lasix and nothing happens you begin to wonder... I know precisely the reason I put on so much water weight. We ate out for every meal several days in a row. TOO MUCH SODIUM!!! So this weekend we made sure to eat at home and prepare our own meals. We always cook with lower sodium ingredients, so my lasix was finally able to catch up. Yesterday I knew the weight must be coming off, since I was in the bathroom a BUNCH (I know, TMI). I'm just so glad it came off! :D Now to get down below that 130 mark. ;)

This afternoon I plan to come home from work and go for a walk immediately (before it gets dark). No getting on the computer first. This is my new goal (since today is my first day back at work since the holidays began I'm hoping I'll be much more active than this last week).

In the last two days I've had lasagna (Saturday night) and (yesterday) a Backyard Burger's double with cheese and curly fries, and Kroger sugar free ice cream. I still lost 1/2 pound each day. So after a several days of sensible eating and no loss, finally a budge. It's such a relief to see that scale move down.

Way to go Niki and Superbob.

Pretty good day today, if I do say so myself. I already was a TON more active just by being at work today (I walk all over the school to take things to teachers, visit classrooms, etc.), but I also came home and walked for 23 minutes (I usually do about 30, but I cut it short because it looked like it was going to rain any minute... It didn't though  ). I did have a snack when i got home (chips and salsa... what else?) but kept it small. I HAD to have a snack, though. My stomach was about to start eating itself! But honestly, I think it's better when I snack. That way I don't end up overdoing at meal time...

Tonight I'm making brats (hubby bought them last week and they need to be used up. I wouldn't have bought them myself) and Karlynn's baked sweet potato fries (slightly modified). I went ahead and bought dinner for tomorrow night as well (baked potatoes) so I'll be home slightly earlier tomorrow and be able to do my walking again (sun was almost setting when I finished today).

I know it's odd to say, but I'm actually kind of glad I'm back to work... Keeps me moving! :D

By now I hope we are all back on track or heading that way for a very successful year of weight loss. Weight Watchers seems to be working for me as far as being satisfied food wise but it is slow. I need to pick up the exercise and plan on being more faithful there as soon as I get over the crud.

Weigh in is three days off (depending on which hand you count on):p and I know we will see some inspiring reports!!!! So much for the warm fuzzy pep talk……now get moving and losing!!!!

Wouldnt you know it  ...the one week I know I have lost weight by the fit of my clothes and the number on the scales, I forget exactly what my numbers were at the start of the week. Its looking like water-weight though, who knew Lasagne and Chinese food was SO salty ??? I couldnt usually lose 4.5 pounds without starving myself and I havent even tried this week 'cos its been stinkin' hot.

No walking today. :( I forgot I had a meeting to attend after school, so I didn't get home until after 6. Already dark and not about to go walking now. Hopefully tomorrow...

Help, SUPERBOB is under seige! Finally the house had been cleared of the tsunami of Christmas confections when, last night, my wife pulled out from somewhere a box of assorted European chocolate cookies she had bought somewhere for the holidays! 46 ounces of the "finest Belgian chocolate." And she has sat it right on the kitchen counter for her to nibble on, a tiny cookie or two at a time. (At that rate, it will last til July.) But it taunts me during the day and haunts me in the middle of the night when I am hungry and roaming the house. I tried a few at last night's 3 a.m. awakening, and then a few more, and then --- ah but there are tons left!

What is a SUPERBOB to do? I know, I am supposed to have superpowers, right? Supposed to be rescuing you all from temptations. So, okay, SUPERBOB, that's how the cookie crumbles (or the cookies crumble) -- so get over it and be strong!

Tell your wife that everytime you eat a cookie, you owe her $5. Then, the first one you eat, give her the money. If she holds your feet to the fire on it, I bet you won't eat many.
Oh, and if $5 isn't enough, then up it to $10.
I've done this before, and it works!

Wait, wait, Ref! Foul! She's the one who is sabotaging me with these fancy European cookies! She should pay ME $10 for every one of those cookies that have been placed out there in open view! I am afraid the Ref is showing a gender-biased view of this problem. :p :p :p
