Whatever help I can be, I'd be honored to do so. I sounds like Cort isn't staying right in Lexington, but I'm not sure about that. Are you wanting to stay in the same vicinity as he is? We can come up with Lexington suggestions, but beyond that I'm not that knowledgeable. You are welcomed to PM your phone # in case I can be of assistance. I hope this make sense?
 
OK ... for those coming to Lexington, I'll have more details (hopefully) tomorrow night. BUT ... Spoke to the guy from the NMCOA this evening ... he has a "car themed" place he'd like us to meet at off of I-75 S at Exit 110 (er, if I remember correctly). He said he will Email me details sometime Tuesday ... so, might have an update Tuesday night. We'll see. It is a "drive in" type restaurant, with a full sit-in restaurant as well....that's all I know right now ... sorry.

Anyway ... I am staying with him and his family ... they live SW of Lexington off SR 27.

Close call but doubtful on your first stop -- I plan to be in Indianapolis with the family, driving down Friday AM, Nov. 23. . . and I also plan to stop to see some antique pen acquaintances in Zionsville. The rub is that the schedule is more up to the two ladies (my wife and daughter) than up to me.

Who knows? I'll try to remember to take your cell number with me.

The restaurant looks like fun and like it has been around since the time a lot of drive-throughs existed. If the weather is cooperative, I can cruise with the top down. ;) :D Great memories.

Cort, if I am still in Atlanta and can make the Monday gatheting, I will call you from there. It's north Atlanta and my family is South Atlanta. Also you have my cell #.

In DFS, we will meet at 10 at McLean's Restaurant, just off the interstate (10). turn rt off the interstate and it's only a really short turn to the right and up on a hill (another rt to get to it). it's a buffet place. I will stay in touch by cell.
 
Well - it looks like I will not be able to make it after all. We just heard from some friends who want to visit next weekend. We haven't seen them in awhile so didn't want to say no.

I read the itinerary, and as far as I can tell, we will pass you in Nashville on Thursday. Our destination that night is Fultondale, AL so I hope we are near Nashville by noon. We're meeting Noel (from VR) and another friend from the CFF forum that evening at Outback Steakhouse, so we will try to drive that leg with few stops.
Anyway, as we pass Nashville, I'll roll my window down and give ya a holler!:D

Ya know ... I've been a thinkin' ... Gina ... if you want, you COULD bring those friends right along with you.... I know you had planned to stay overnight, but you could drive down and back the same day ... you wouldn't have to stay as long as the rest of us..... Just food for thought, anyway.....



And, uh, Mary, you do realize that if you are in Nashville by noon, you should be to Fultondale AL by about 4pm, if not sooner....??? You interested in meeting for lunch somewhere in Nashville? That way, you don't have to yell so loudly ;). he he .... I'll be with friends just off the Briley Parkway, a couple miles or so away from the Opryland Hotel.....

Hmmm...wonder if Noel would want to join us for dinner the night before in the Hoover AL area.....????
