Oh dear!

I'm afraid I've unintentionally misrepresented our outdoor abilities--we go out and meander on trails, are not rugged hikers and certainly not mountain climbers. The picture was a hike with a vertical component, not a technical climb....sorry.

I really appreciate the welcome--am embarrassed how many times I've checked this thread.

Hi, Debby! Welcome to this incredible forum. Like epstns, I am in the waiting room--and may be in it for quite some time (who knows). And as Debbie ("ie") said, this place can be addicting! I come by regularly and always learn from so many wonderful members.

Oh--and even if you are an occasional hiker/meanderer, that's still a lovely accomplishment, esp. if you have access to country lanes. I am 56 years old and try each day to manage at least one kind of "push me" activity, but I'm in the middle of a concrete jungle, so the mind-set has to be a bit different, I've found. Parks are nice, but they're not as freeing as the mountains.

Anyway, welcome, and I hope to be reading you regularly in the months to come.
