Finally back on line!

I've been off line for a while because our phone got knocked out by the storm and the phone company just got the land line fixed Saturday. Then on top of everything else I was mowing down at the lake and got hot so I thought I would just jump in the lake and cool off, guess what? I had my cell phone in my pocket. Bummer. I had just got this new cell phone a couple of weeks ago. Well, it's shot! ! We have had so much rain that our pond is running over the banks. It's unreal, and it's supposed to rain heavy again tonight. My flowers love it but so do the weeds! The guys haven't been able to get out in the fields to put up the hay. We were hoping to get two cuttings this year. We fertilized this summer and it's growing like crazy, really getting tall. It's getting two months away before I can buy my new John Deer. I can hardly wait! ! I've already got one picked out.

I have my annual cardiologist appointment on Tuesday. It's been three years since my AVR, acutually is was on June 2. I haven't felt very good the last couple of weeks, don't know if it's the heart or the leukemia. Maybe I'll know something after this week.

Good luck with the cardio appt. Glenda- hope all checks out well- maybe you are doing too much in the heat- most of us wouldn't feel very well just listening to your schedule never mind doing it!

oh, my, you've had some tough luck. Bet the cool water felt good, however. We had a lightning strike too when we finally got our second rain since Feb and it knocked out the stove hood and plug where our gas stove is plugged in for the igniter, but we can do without the lights/fan and igniter; we can light the stove with a match and feel our way through the cooking - or turn on the ceiling light

Glenda, it sure is nice to have you back on line again. I hope your cardio appt. goes well and that your heart nor your leukemia is acting up. I hope you just have a bug or something simple for a change.

I'm sure glad to see you back on VR, Glenda. I've missed you! We are sorely needing rain, so you can send your excess to me! The heat has been kicking my butt, so I hope that's what your problem is. I see my cardio week after next, so we'll have to compare notes!

Dear Glenda The Good, I too have been absent, due more to senior care than anything else. Just seeing your avatar gives me a lift! Hope things go better for you in the coming year, and that you get that new tractor! I dropped a Nokia phone in salt water once. I took the battery off right away, and when I got home rinsed it in fresh water, and dried it for about 24 hrs. I recharged the battery, and it worked for another year or so. All the best, Brian

Everyone. The cardiologist appointment went fine. It was today instead of tomorrow. He said my heart sounded fine. He ordered an echo in January. He seems to think that the leukemia is acting up on me again. I have several extra large round bruices on my upper stomach. This always happens when my counts are up and my plattets are down. I got so fatiqued and just can hardly go. I should know what the symptoms are by now but silly me always wonders if it could be the heart. I have gained about 15 pounds since I last saw him so he wasn't happy about that, well dugh, neither am ! I sure wish there was a easy way to loose much needed weight, say around 100 pounds besides just quit eating.
