*Can antidepressants cause arrhythmias.....

Hi everyone, my doctor gave me a prescription today for anti-depressants but I am a bit worried to take them in case they ''aggrivate'' my already irregular heart. Since coming to England 6 or so weeks ago, Iv been in hospital for about 8 days due to a.fib, VT, chest pain etc, so I dont want to do anything that might make things worse ''heart wise''. I also take warfarin.

When I asked the doc if it was a possibility, she said, ''yes, but if you feel anything kicking off just stop them''.

I know there are some members on here with arrthymia problems and depression, and would appreciate any opinions, or suggestions.

Sometimes the same med can produce very different reactions in different people. You may want to do a "search" on the med and see what comes up as possible side effects.
